Welcome to Dexter Rural Fire Protection District!
Supporting Fire and EMS Services through Community Involvement

We are a combination department with both career and volunteer members. We provide coverage to our community and the surrounding communities on an A,B,C shift schedule with resident/sleepers that live at the station and provide emergency response on a 24 hr shift. Our district covers 23 miles of Oregon Highway 58, a 33 mile stretch of the Willamette River, 16 miles of Union Pacific Railroad, and 2 large lakes; Dexter and Lookout Point. We respond from 1 station with 2 command vehicles, 3 engines, 1 water tender, 2 rescue units, 1 type 6 mini-pumpers and 1 rescue boat a 21 foot jet boat. Our special equipment includes: A technical rescue vehicle (water and High angle Rope equipment).



Dexter Rural Fire District proudly protects 3500 Residence living in an area of 21 square miles. We deliver emergency services out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
