Welcome to Dexter Rural Fire Protection District!
Supporting Fire and EMS Services through Community Involvement

We are a combination department with both career and volunteer members. We provide coverage to our community and the surrounding communities on an A,B,C shift schedule with resident/sleepers that live at the station and provide emergency response on a 24 hr shift. Our district covers 23 miles of Oregon Highway 58, a 33 mile stretch of the Willamette River, 16 miles of Union Pacific Railroad, and 2 large lakes; Dexter and Lookout Point. We respond from 1 station with 2 command vehicles, 3 engines, 1 water tender, 2 rescue units, 1 type 6 mini-pumper and 1 rescue boat a 21 foot jet boat.



Dexter Rural Fire District proudly protects 3500 Residence living in an area of 21 square miles. We deliver emergency services out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
